One-Room School Formation

Restoring the Theopaidia Model of Multi-Age Christian Education

Education as Restoration

Across America, parents, teachers, and pastors are rediscovering the strength of the one-room schoolhouse — where faith, family, and formation come together.
Aletheia’s One-Room School Formation program prepares Christian educators to launch and lead schools rooted in the Theopaidia philosophy: education as discipleship, formation as worship.
Offered through the Shepherd’s Gate Campus (Virginia), this program combines two integrated paths:

  • The One-Room School Certification – a one-year academic credential for teachers and administrators

  • The One-Room School Intensive – a focused, hybrid immersion in Theopaidia practice

Modern education has fractured what God designed to be whole. Across the nation, families are seeking truth-based alternatives to ideological and fragmented systems. The One-Room School Method revives a proven, biblical model—uniting ages, subjects, and souls around the centrality of Christ.

“Across our beautiful country, students face the stress of high crime, pandemic shutdowns, and education that is more political than truthful. The One-Room School Method provides teachers, parents, and churches the tools to take charge of your children’s education.”
— Epoch Times, 2021

Aletheia equips educators and families to reclaim the formative ground of education — so that truth, not ideology, shapes the next generation.

Formation in Rhythm

Both the Certification and Intensive follow Aletheia’s 10-4-1 rhythm, aligning study, service, and reflection in a pattern modeled after the biblical cadence of work and rest.

  • Lead or launch one-room and micro-schools

  • Mentor teachers in Christian formation models

  • Develop community-based education initiatives

  • Train within the Theopaidia Institute as future Academic Pastors

“The rhythm of learning becomes the rhythm of life.”
