Formation through service — from the classroom to the world.
Learning as Discipleship
At Aletheia, learning is not preparation for life — it is life in formation. The practicum transforms study into service, turning classrooms into sanctuaries where wisdom is lived, not merely learned. Every placement, whether in a local church school or an international mission field, invites students to embody what they believe: to teach, serve, and shepherd under the lordship of Christ.
Through guided mentorship and prayerful reflection, students discover that the truest education happens not in isolation but in communion — with God, with mentors, and with the communities they serve. Knowledge matures into understanding; understanding blossoms into wisdom; and wisdom bears fruit in love.
Learning in Every Place God Sends Us
Aletheia’s practicum network connects students with schools and ministries across the world. Because all courses are offered online, students remain rooted in their own communities while serving alongside trusted partners in the work of Christian education. These placements embody our vision of Theopaidia — formation that unites knowledge, faith, and service wherever God’s people teach and learn.

Partner-Site Practicums
Engage with Aletheia’s partner schools and ministries in Texas, Idaho, South Africa, Germany, and emerging sites in Uganda and beyond. Students work under local mentors while receiving academic and spiritual oversight from Aletheia faculty.

Community-Based Practicums
Serve within your own church, homeschool community, or local Christian school while integrating Aletheia’s Theopaidia framework. Guided mentorship ensures consistency and reflection even when learning remotely.

Global Mission Practicums
For students called to international service, Aletheia facilitates placements through mission schools and global ministry networks — equipping educators for cross-cultural teaching and gospel-centered transformation.
Guided Formation
Every practicum student serves under the guidance of a mentor who provides spiritual encouragement, professional feedback, and academic accountability. Through weekly virtual meetings and shared reflection, the practicum becomes a space where theory meets practice — and where service is shaped by wisdom.
Oversight is coordinated through the Precepts Campus and Theopaidia Institute network, ensuring that every experience reflects Aletheia’s biblical model of teacher formation and discipleship.
Key Practices
- Weekly mentor meetings (virtual or in person, depending on placement)
- Reflective journal prompts and end-of-term evaluations
- Ongoing faculty support and spiritual encouragement
Wisdom and Care in Every Context
Aletheia’s practicum network operates through trusted partner schools and ministries who share our commitment to safety, accountability, and discipleship. Because students may serve across diverse cultural and national contexts, each practicum is established through clear communication, prayerful discernment, and mutual trust between Aletheia and its partners.
Students remain under Aletheia’s academic oversight while receiving local supervision from ministry or school mentors. This cooperative model ensures both spiritual care and practical safety, reflecting our conviction that formation must always proceed with wisdom and stewardship.
Guiding Commitments:
Placement only with approved Christian partners
Clear expectations for supervision and conduct
Guidance on travel, communication, and local safety
Prayerful support for students serving abroad
Excellence in Practice
Aletheia’s practicum model demonstrates that academic excellence and spiritual formation are not competing goals but complementary dimensions of Christian education. Each placement provides tangible evidence that learning has taken root — that students are applying biblical principles to real contexts and growing in wisdom through service.
Because all practicums are conducted under formal mentorship and faculty oversight, student progress is documented through reflective writing, mentor evaluations, and integrative projects. These materials form part of Aletheia’s ongoing accreditation portfolio and ensure that every graduate can demonstrate both competency and calling.
Assessment & Documentation Include:
Mentor Evaluations: Structured feedback on teaching, service, and spiritual growth
Reflective Journals: Weekly analysis connecting coursework with practicum experience
Final Portfolio: Compilation of practicum evidence for transcript and accreditation review
Partner in Formation
Every practicum placement represents more than a learning experience — it is a ministry of multiplication. When a student serves in a classroom in Texas, mentors in South Africa, or assists in a mission school in Uganda, each act of teaching becomes an act of discipleship.
Your prayers and gifts make this work possible. Through the Student Success Fund, Aletheia provides scholarships, training resources, and mentoring support for students serving across the globe. Churches and schools can also partner directly with Aletheia to host practicum students and join the growing network of teacher formation sites.
