Course Overview
This course introduces students to the study of literature through a Christian worldview. Students will examine how nonfiction, fiction, poetry, and drama represent the human experience of good and evil, suffering and redemption, and the search for meaning. Emphasis is given to the moral imagination—how stories cultivate virtue or deform it—and to the ethical responsibility of writers and readers. Through close reading, discussion, and written reflection, students will learn to analyze literary form, interpret thematic patterns, and articulate how literature contributes to personal, cultural, and spiritual formation.
